Arthouse film screenings in the only surviving Nasrid alhóndiga in the world. Five consecutive Fridays of contemporary and classic Spanish cinema under the stars, in one of Granada's most beautiful courtyards. Each session opens with an introduction by a guest film critic and closes with an audience discussion. Bar with local D.O. Granada wine and artisanal tapas available from 9 PM. Free entry with capacity limited to 120 people.
The Corral del Carbón is the best-preserved Nasrid monument in Granada and the only Islamic alhóndiga (caravanserai) still standing in Spain. Its three-story arcaded courtyard, built in the 14th century, becomes an unparalleled open-air cinema every summer. The natural acoustics of the enclosed courtyard amplify sound without excessive equipment.
