The artists at Venta El Gallo are direct heirs of the Roma families who have kept this tradition alive for generations, now declared Intangible Cultural Heritage. Venta El Gallo is one of Sacromonte's most historic flamenco tablaos, carved into the mountainside rock. Its main cave, seating 50 people, preserves the original whitewashed walls and masonry benches. Generations of Roma artists have performed here since the 1950s, keeping the tradition of Granada's zambra alive.
