Morning (9:00–12:00)
Albaicín early morning
The Albaicín is empty at 9am. Stroll unhurried through Plaza de San Miguel Bajo, wander through whitewashed alleys and get lost. This is the time for people-free photos.
San Nicolás + San Cristóbal Viewpoints
San Nicolás is a must, but walk 10 more minutes to San Cristóbal — fewer people and the view includes the entire Vega plain. In the morning the light is clean and the Alhambra looks golden.
Breakfast at Plaza Larga
Head down to Plaza Larga and have breakfast at Bar Aixa or Casa Pasteles. Toast with olive oil and tomato — the classic Granada breakfast. On Saturdays there's a craft market.
Midday (12:00–14:00)
Cathedral & Royal Chapel
Head downtown and visit the Royal Chapel (where the Catholic Monarchs are buried). The Cathedral is impressive from outside — inside, only if you have spare time. Prioritize the Chapel.
Tapas on Navas street or nearby
Calle Navas is the most famous tapas street, but locals go to the parallel streets: try Los Diamantes (fried fish), La Riviera or Bar Ávila. Two beers and two tapas = free lunch.
Afternoon (14:00–15:00)
Realejo: street art & Carmen de los Mártires
Realejo is the former Jewish quarter turned street art district. Look for El Niño de las Pinturas murals. If there's time, go up to Carmen de los Mártires — free gardens with peacocks and views.
